What it can do

Written by Robotheca from the project's documents.

  • The robot is a small mobile platform with wheels driven by motors, shown in the repository through wheel drawings and 3D-printed parts.
  • It has ultrasonic distance sensors mounted on its left and right sides, with protective brackets.
  • An optional URG laser range sensor can be fitted behind an impact-absorbing bumper at the front.

Bill of materials

This repository has no parts list Robotheca can read yet.

Wiring and electronics

Notes written by Robotheca from the project's documents.

Main parts

  • A main electronic board (circuit board) carries the control electronics and is protected by a drip-proof cover.
  • A Raspberry Pi single-board computer is mounted on a spacer above the main board.
  • Motors are clamped to the chassis with motor joint parts that connect them to the tires.
  • A battery is fixed in place on a dedicated battery spacer.
  • Ultrasonic distance sensors are mounted on the left and right sides.
  • An optional URG sensor may be installed at the front.

Connections

  • The documents describe the mechanical mounting of the boards, battery and sensors but do not explain the electrical connections between them.
