Import a robot from GitHub

Paste a repository link. We find the files, read the docs and fill in the robot page for you. Nothing is published until you have checked it.

  1. 1Paste the link
  2. 2Check the files
  3. 3Review the robot card
  4. 4Publish

Sign in to import a robot. With GitHub, if the repository is yours (or your organisation's), you publish it yourself. Otherwise you can suggest it, and an editor reviews it first.

How it works

  • Robotheca reads the repository at its latest commit and pins the robot to it. Files stay on GitHub: downloads always point there.
  • If the repository has a robot.yaml, it is used as written. Otherwise the robot card is filled in from the README, and every field filled in automatically is marked “Please check”.
  • Creators publish directly and choose the hardware license. Anyone else can suggest a robot: its licenses then come only from the repository's license files, and an editor reviews it before it is published.
