What it can do
Written by Robotheca from the project's documents.
- Drives the rover over LoRa, WebSocket from a website hosted on the ESP32, or a generic RC transmitter.
- Startup mode is chosen by a 3-way switch: WiFi station plus LoRa, LoRa only, or WiFi access point.
- Sends telematics data to connected websocket clients, or over LoRa when controlled that way.
- RC transmitter joysticks steer the rover; in middle switch position the wheels rotate it on the spot.
- In high switch position the joysticks move the six arm axes, with a switch selecting axes 1-4 or the gripper (5-6).
- Arm control is currently a direct mapping of joystick axes; inverse kinematics is planned but not done.
- Websocket control overrides the RC controller or LoRa once a client connects to the ESP32 access point.

Wiring and electronics
Notes written by Robotheca from the project's documents.
Main parts
- ESP32 microcontroller.
- Six 12V DC drive motors, one in each wheel.
- Two brushless ESCs, one per side of the rover.
- Four steering servos (MG946R/MG996R) on the corner wheels.
- Six arm servos (MG946R) for six degrees of freedom.
- Two head servos (MG946R/MG996R).
- Many 12V to 5V switching voltage regulators, one per servo.
- Six-channel RC receiver and transmitter.
- 3S battery.
Connections
- Each servo has its own 12V to 5V switching regulator.
- The arm servos are powered from a 3S battery.
