What it does

  • Core image_transport library publishes and subscribes to images in raw or compressed form, switching transports without changing application code.
  • Image_transport_py offers Python 3 bindings exposing publishers and subscribers to Python nodes.
  • Camera_calibration_parsers reads and writes camera calibration data in YAML and INI formats, with a convert command-line tool.
  • Camera_info_manager is a C++ class for camera drivers to load, save, and serve calibration data, handling SetCameraInfo requests.
  • Camera_info_manager_py is a pure Python equivalent of camera_info_manager for Python camera drivers.
  • Includes a republish node for converting images between transports and a list_transports tool.
