What it does: Robotheca's summary

  • Provides open digital assets such as urban layouts, buildings and vehicles created for driving simulation.
  • Supports flexible specification of sensor suites and environmental conditions.
  • This branch targets the Unreal Engine 5.5 version of CARLA, separate from the UE 4.26 branch.
  • Has a Python API and documentation for building, first steps, asset catalogue and blueprint library.
  • Part of an ecosystem that includes a leaderboard, ScenarioRunner, a ROS bridge and an Autoware bridge.
