What it does

  • Traces function entry and exit with TraceSession, TraceGuard, NamedSharedTrace and TraceRegistry classes.
  • Writes trace events asynchronously so logging adds little overhead to the traced code.
  • Provides macros to initialize, start and stop shared traces by ID.
  • Gantt.py draws traced function executions as a Gantt chart.
  • Elaspsed_histogram.py histograms the intervals between executions of a chosen function.
  • Execution_histogram.py histograms the execution time of a chosen function.
