What it does

  • Provides a UDP driver package with receiver, sender and combined bridge nodes that send and receive UDP data.
  • Provides a serial driver package with a combined bridge node for receiving and sending serial data.
  • Includes a UDP driver library and a serial driver library that have no ROS 2 dependencies and can be used elsewhere.
  • Offers an IO Context library for writing synchronous and asynchronous networking applications.
  • Built with colcon after cloning into a workspace and installing dependencies with rosdep; example UDP params file is provided.
  • Ships unit tests for every package, run with colcon test.
