What it does

  • Solves the rigid body transformation between two 3D point clouds from their correspondences.
  • Remains robust when the input correspondences contain an extremely large fraction of outliers.
  • Provides C++ libraries with Python and MATLAB bindings, plus usage in ROS projects.
  • Includes example programs that register point cloud files and print rotation, translation and timing errors.
  • Is described in papers on certifiable point cloud registration and robust spatial perception.
