What it does

  • Works like joint_state_publisher but can publish any message type, not only joint states.
  • Each topic or service is described in a YAML file, mapping input keys to message fields.
  • Fields can be set with min, max and default values; without bounds the input is text.
  • Quaternions can be entered as roll, pitch and yaw and are converted before publishing.
  • Service types make the matching slider call the service after waiting for the server.
  • Publication rate is set with the rate parameter, from 0 to 100 Hz.
