- Framework
Skybrush Server is the server component of the Skybrush ecosystem. It connects to drones and offers a common layer so frontend apps need not know the drone type.
Made by Skybrush.

What it does
- Handles communication channels to drones and abstracts them so frontend apps like Skybrush Live work the same way with any drone type.
- Provides extra facilities such as clocks, RTK correction sources and weather providers.
- Most functionality is implemented as extension modules, loaded at startup or dynamically while running.
- Built-in extensions are listed in the flockwave.server.ext module; custom extensions can be developed.
- Installed with uv, which creates a virtual environment in the project folder, then started with uv run skybrushd.
- Dependencies are declared in pyproject.toml; some private dependencies are not needed for the community version.
