What it does
- Adds an AerialMap display to RViz that follows a sensor_msgs NavSatFix topic.
- Loads raster map tiles from a configurable tile URL, using the OpenStreetMap tile convention.
- Caches downloaded tiles locally and does not expire them automatically.
- Can load tiles from a local filesystem for robots without internet access.
- Supports a local-map mode for region-specific tile servers, with manually set zoom and origin.
- Options include topic, alpha, draw order, zoom level, tile block count and a fade-out timeout.
