What it does

  • Publishes X linear and Z angular velocities as a Twist or TwistStamped message.
  • Provides a GUI with a vertical slider for X velocity and a horizontal slider for Z velocity.
  • Publishes to /cmd_vel by default; the topic name can be changed in the GUI.
  • Topic name and window size are saved to and restored from the RQT GUI settings file when closed cleanly.
  • Velocity slider ranges and default topic can be set through ROS parameters at launch.
