What it does
- Records topics from a running ROS 2 system to bag files, optionally auto-discovering new topics.
- Plays recorded bags back with control over topics, timing and playback rate.
- Splits recordings by size or duration and can compress them with zstd.
- Supports a snapshot mode that keeps a rolling in-memory buffer and writes it to disk on request.
- Converts bags: merging several inputs, splitting outputs, changing compression or serialization, and cutting time ranges.
- Provides info and reindex commands to inspect and repair bags, plus remote control services for recorder and player.
