What it does
- Detects the available init system and creates a systemd service by default, or an upstart job.
- Installs jobs from the command line with ros2 run robot_upstart install, and removes them with uninstall.
- Jobs can be started, stopped and inspected like any other system service, including through journalctl.
- Common install options include job name, RMW implementation, ROS domain ID, user, workspace setup file and ROS distro.
- Jobs can also be created from Python through the robot_upstart.Job API.
- Installable from the ROS 2 apt repository or built from source in a colcon workspace.
