What it does

  • Implements the ROS 2 rmw C interface so rclcpp, rclpy and the ros2 CLI can use int2DDS as their middleware.
  • Links against a prebuilt int2DDS FFI library that is downloaded and checked by a vendor package at CMake configure time.
  • Is a work in progress; APIs and test results are still being stabilized ahead of a Tier 3 status request.
  • Reports passing results for ROS 2 conformance, communication and QoS suites on Humble, Jazzy, Lyrical and Rolling, with some WStrings cross-vendor exceptions.
  • Does not yet support DDS-Security or SROS 2.
