What it does

  • Fits planes, cuboids, cylinders, cones, spheres, lines, circles and point clusters to point clouds.
  • Takes point clouds as NumPy arrays with shape (N, 3).
  • Plane fitting returns the plane equation Ax + By + Cz + D = 0 and the inlier points.
  • Sphere fitting returns the center, radius and inliers for a given threshold.
  • Aimed at applications such as 3D SLAM, 3D reconstruction and object tracking.
  • Optional Open3D integration is mentioned for visualization.
