What it does

  • Metapackage bundling drivers for Bosch off-highway sensors under ROS.
  • Ethernet-based drivers for the Bosch Radar Off-Highway Premium and a legacy Premium Radar Sample variant.
  • CAN-based receiver and sender nodes for the general purpose radar, off-highway radar and ultrasonic sensor system.
  • Converts CAN (FD) frames into ROS messages and back, using can_msgs or socketcan_msgs interfaces.
  • Sensor packages do not include a CAN-to-ROS driver; a separate SocketCAN bridge such as ros2_socketcan handles that.
  • Provides optional logging of CAN processing cycle times to check hardware capacity against CAN load.
