What it does
- Provides a map server that loads standard ROS gridmaps or MRPT and MP2P_ICP maps and publishes them to topics.
- Offers particle filter-based robot localization from many kinds of metric maps, including gridmaps, points, and range-only sensors.
- Maintains a local obstacle map from recent sensor readings, with optional point cloud filtering such as volume cropping and downsampling.
- Includes a pure reactive navigator for polygonal robots in 2D worlds.
- Includes a path planner that runs A* over a SE(2) lattice built from PTG trajectories.
- Supplies launch and configuration tutorials, a bridge between custom messages and native MRPT classes, and shared message and action definitions.
