What it does
- A mobile base node subscribes to velocity commands and updates odometry, optionally publishing localization on tf.
- It can publish the map-to-odom transform and accept an initial pose estimate for the robot.
- A laser scanner node raytraces an occupancy grid map obtained from a map service to produce simulated scans.
- Laser defaults follow a Sick S300 scanner, and an optional noise model can be applied to the range readings.
- Both nodes are configurable through parameters and are supplied with a launch file, plus a library for reuse in other projects.
- It is inspired by the industrial_robot_simulator package in ROS Industrial.

Robots that can run it
No robot on Robotheca is linked to it yet. Links come from a robot's robot.yaml, from its dependency files read as text, or from Robotheca's editors.
Robotheca lists software as a reference: nothing is hosted or run here, and every fact links to where it was read.
