What it does
- Provides a C API for building clients that run on extremely resource-constrained devices such as microcontrollers.
- Clients ask a companion Micro XRCE-DDS Agent to publish or subscribe to topics in the DDS dataspace.
- Supports remote procedure calls under the DDS-RPC standard for request/reply communication.
- The agent creates the DDS entities requested by clients, such as participants, topics, publishers and subscribers.
- Built-in transports include UDPv4, UDPv6, TCPv4, TCPv6 and Serial, plus a user-definable custom transport.
- The library is configured at compile time with CMake flags to enable or disable profiles and tune its size.
