What it does
- Draw a polygon on a map, set a spawn location, and get a ready-to-use Gazebo .world file with a textured heightmap.
- Generates worlds from elevation and satellite imagery of any location, with a 16-bit heightmap or 8-bit for Fortress.
- Can extrude OSM building footprints into 3D meshes and add a helipad at the spawn location.
- Satellite texture is stitched from configurable tile sources such as Google Maps or OSM.
- Output is a zip containing the world file, model.sdf, model.config and a mesh folder.
- Works with Gazebo Harmonic (recommended) and Gazebo Fortress; run the server with uv and open it in a browser.
