What it does

  • Discovers, synchronizes (ROS 1 only) and monitors nodes running on different hosts.
  • Provides a graphical user interface to manage nodes and configuration on local and remote hosts.
  • The GUI talks to a daemon on each host over WebSockets on a port derived from ROS_DOMAIN_ID (and ROS_MASTER_URI_PORT for ROS 1), which must be open in the firewall.
  • Can run as a web server in headless mode, then opened in a browser on port 6275.
  • Offers Debian packages for Ubuntu 20.04, 22.04 and 24.04, plus an AppImage and a build-from-source option.
