What it does
- Converts each input laser scan to a point cloud, transforms it into the target frame, and concatenates the clouds.
- Converts the combined point cloud back into a single laser scan topic.
- Input lidar scan messages must carry a frame_id, and TF transforms from each lidar frame to the target frame must exist.
- Includes a demo launch file that merges scan data from two lidars recorded in a bag file.
- Launch arguments set topic names, output rate, target frame, angle and range limits, and height filtering.
